Recognized for the production of top-of-the-range red wines, Quinta da Gaivosa, a project signed by the Alves de Sousa family, has, in recent years, turned its attention to the potential of the Douro in the production of white wines. Currently, it has two references, both faithful portrayals of the property's excellent terroir, located in the Baixo Corgo sub-region. Aging for 8 months with a touch of wood (30% in 3rd year French oak barrels) gave it a good volume in the mouth, maintaining the freshness and minerality required of a great white.
