Inside this bottle of premium Azor gin, you find the spirit of the archipelago that gave it its name. More than a drink, it is a tribute to the islands, with a pineapple flavor.
AZOR Gin Premium, presented in an elegant bottle in shades of sea blue and aims to bring the Azorean essence to the glass. It is made with the traditional Azorean pineapple and, also in the name, pays homage to the bird that ended up naming the archipelago.
This new AZOR Gin Premiumwhich is now preparing to conquer the market came from the creativity of Marta Pinto, the only national distiller and one of the few to global level. Author of other successful products that are found throughout Portuguese bars, waiting only for ice and tonic water, this is a different project, more challenging for those who are used to creating drinks. The challenge of putting the essence of the Azores in a bottle was steep, but, so far, rewarding.
In addition to the pineapple, which immediately stands out in the glass, this AZOR Gin Premium is made using 19 botanicals, of which, in addition to the fruit, is the cardamom and galician lemon in a first taste. It is recommended to be served with just two cardamom pods, although is also advisable to mix basil into the final drink.
To achieve this final result Marta Pinto used only the best spices from the Azores and subjected AZOR Gin Premium to five individual distillations. However, despite concentrating the essence of the archipelago, as well as the traditional flavors of this island region, this Gin is produced in mainland Portugal, in the Nazaré.
Until recently considered a late afternoon drink, served in a tall glass and with tonic water and a slice of lemon, Gin is, these days, more than a drink, a business of great dimensions. There are dozens of proposals producedin Portugal or with Portuguese inspiration, with new brands and proposals planned until the arrival of summer. AZOR Gin Premium is the most recent and may soon receive a new version.
