Herdade do Arrepiado Velho Tradição 2017 Red, produced by the Antunes family, being a reference for Alentejo wines.

All the grapes that make up this Herdade do Arrepiado Collection are harvested by hand, selected at a sorting table at the entrance to the winery, and vinification takes place at a controlled temperature. As a rule, the reds are tanned for 20 to 30 days and aged for 16 months in selected wooden barrels to obtain the desired profile for the wines. With a profile distinct from the vast majority of wines in the region, in an alliance between the tradition of Alentejo grape varieties and traits of a modern and young oenology, Arrepiado wines make a difference in their bold profile but of superior quality. Concentrated ruby-violet color. Intense nose, aromas of black fruits, balsamic and some tobacco. Full, full-bodied attack, full of aroma, with round tannins and good persistence.

Herdade do Arrepiado Velho was acquired 9 years ago by the Antunes Family, who immediately began an ambitious project: turning Arrepiado Velho into an asset and a reference of excellence in the Alentejo. The Estate took shape, invested in quality, and the wines that are created there do not go unnoticed – beautiful image, and better organoleptic sensations.
With a total area of around 100 hectares, the dam stands out among vineyards and olive trees, in a mix of colors and tranquility, as only Alentejo can offer. All of these characteristics make Herdade do Arrepiado Velho part of the Alentejo Wine Route - São Mamede Route.
