Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis Mont de Milieu 2018 White from the Droin family is among the oldest in the Chablis region, winegrowers for almost five centuries. Since 1620, for fourteen generations “vignerons” have passed on their “savoir-faire” from father to son. There are several records in history mentioning the Droin family over the centuries, including a historic milestone in 1866, when Emperor Napoleon III visited Auxerre and Edme Jean Baptiste Droin presented the Emperor with a few bottles of his wine. In 1999, the youngest son Benoit, representing the XIV generation, started working at the “Domain” after having spent five years studying Enology at the University of Dijon, he is currently the head winemaker in the new winery built at the foot of the vineyards of Grand Crude.
