It is an authentic dark blackcurrant liqueur, made from an infusion of blackcurrants originating in Dijon, the main city in Burgundy, France, where the product was invented. Bols Crème de Cassis works especially well in containing acidic elements (like lemon or lime juice) and is a great addition to drinks containing fruit like strawberries or raspberries. It is also used with white wine, champagne or dry vermuth.
