At the beginning of the 20th century, when he acquired Quinta do Piloto, Humberto da Silva Cardoso reserved for himself 10 small 50-liter barrels that he filled with the finest muscat from his estates. Since then, this muscatel has been stored in the shadow of the Quinta do Piloto wine cellar, reserved only for the family. Year after year, four generations followed the ritual of filling each barrel with the best of each harvest. This is how this precious and rare muscat was born, demonstrating a century of dedication by a historic family from Palmela.
