Vallado Adalaide 2014 Red Wine is produced by Quinta do Vallado. Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous farms in the Douro Valley. It belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and remains in the possession of her descendants to this day. Quinta do Vallado is famous for the production of Douro Wines and Port Wines of world-renowned quality. We recently modernized our Wine Hotel to welcome you even better.
Grapes: Quinta do Vallado maintains 16 hectares of old vines over 90 years old. These vineyards include: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca and others (more than 20 varieties mixed with an average production of 500gr per plant). Stage: Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, then moving to new French oak barrels (Allier), where it remains for 20 months. Aroma: Very concentrated. With balsamic notes of oak, fig, black plums and tobacco. Taste: Full-bodied, firm, ripe with satin tannins. Mineral notes and a very elegant complex and persistent finish.
