Wine & Soul Pintas Pintas 2019 Red vinified at Wine & Soul founded in 2001 by the winemaking couple Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, the Wine & Soul company has invested in and purchased old vineyards and properties in the Pinhão River valley. The couple's objective is to create wines that express all the character of the old vines and indigenous grape varieties of the Douro, seeking a balance between concentration, complexity and elegance.
Single vineyard, 84 years old, with around 30 grape varieties native to the Douro.
The grape harvest took place in perfect weather conditions in the second week of September. The properly selected and de-stemmed grapes fermented in a press with foot treading for 10 days. The aging and malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels for 20 months.
Very intense purple color. Aromas of violets combined with ripe black berries, spices and dark chocolate. Excellent balance, minerality and freshness, ripe tannins and elegant finish.
