Whiskey Maker's Mark is made through an artisanal process, it contains winter wheat, corn and barley, which give it a smooth and less spicy flavor than the others. Before the bourbon is placed in barrels, the wood is placed outdoors for a minimum of 9 months, to remove the bitter tannins from the wood and improve the vanilla flavor. It is aged after about six years.
