In November 1998, the Symington family proposed to Bruno Prats to participate in a new project, which consisted of producing a great unfortified wine in the Douro. Its achievement took place in 1999, with the creation of PRATS & SYMINGTON Limitada as an equitable partnership between the two families. Some experimental vinifications in that first year made it possible to define and choose the best plots and the most suitable varieties for the project.
