This is a Vintage Port from the 2016 harvest, a “declared” Vintage or a Classic Vintage, which in historical terms only occurs, on average, 3 times per decade. Bottled in July 2018, after almost 2 years in wooden vats , Vintage ends its aging process in a bottle stored horizontally, for a long life of many decades.Over the aging period, the wine softens, gaining structure and complexity.
