Porto Niepoort Tawny is a great portal to the magical world of Tawnies. The grapes come from low-production vineyards in the Cima Corgo region, in the Douro Valley. A relatively young wine, which results from the blending of several harvests and ages, on average, for three and a half years in small old oak barrels in the Niepoort cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Tawny Port keeps well for several years, although it does not improve with age. It does not contain sediment and does not need to be decanted.
