URTIGA 2018 comes from the Urtiga vineyard, where sixty-three varieties of native grape varieties were identified. This vineyard uses 100% organic production and, since 2017, biodynamic practices have been implemented. Installed on pre-phylloxeric terraces, built more than 200 years ago, the vineyard has an average age of over 100 years. Deep and fresh, Nettle 2018 is very elegant and seductive. It has a long, structured finish, ripe tannins and extraordinary freshness and vivacity. Nettle is the maximum expression of the Douro’s unique terroir. A legacy of nature in its purest form.
